Alyssa Pekas Occupational Therapist Sign: Scorpio

Alyssa grew up in Georgia and if you listen carefully, you’ll still hear a bit of a southern accent seasoning her speech.  She graduated with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and early childhood education and began her career teaching in a Montessori school.  While there, Alyssa learned about Occupational Therapy and loved the one-to-one format that allows therapists to get to know kiddos and their families more personally.  She attended OT school at Springfield College in Massachusetts and then did a portion of her student fieldwork here at The Lotus Tree, returning to Boise and us after graduation.  One of her favorite parts of being a therapist is seeing the progress her clients make and celebrating each of their accomplishments!  Outside of the clinic, Alyssa likes to relax and hang out with family.  Her hobbies include reading, cooking, trying out new restaurants, and most recently she’s developed a new-found passion for yoga for increased wellness and wellbeing.
